What You’ll Get To Do
- Robotic Programming: Program robots from major manufacturers (Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, Yaskawa, and Nachi), working on tasks such as:
- Offline Programming: Develop logic based on customer specifications.
- Robot Commissioning: Ensure systems are commissioned following industry best practices.
- Communication Setup: Configure communication protocols (Ethernet, DeviceNet, Profinet, etc.) with PLCs and peripheral devices/equipment.
- Path Programming: Develop precise and quality-focused robot path programs.
- Robot Dressing: Properly dress robots for specific applications and paths.
- Safety Setup: Configure safety parameters (DCS, SafeMove, Cubic S, RMU) and Safe IO in compliance with customer specifications.
- System Testing and Debugging: Debug, test, and verify I/O signals, interference zones, and system functionality.
- Best Practices: Develop and implement engineering best practices, ensuring detailed and comprehensive documentation.
- Travel and On-Site Support: Travel locally and internationally to customer facilities to introduce programming enhancements and optimize robotic systems.
- Application Customization: Set up robotic functions for applications such as washing, welding, joining, sealing, inspection, material handling, vision guidance, and vision quality assurance systems.
- Training: Train end-users on robotic operations, providing guidance to minimize downtime and ensure maximum productivity.
- Documentation: Deliver clear documentation of robotic procedures, shift notes, and customer-specific requirements.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in designing, installing, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting pneumatic, mechanical, and electronic automated equipment in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Education: Completed College or university program in Electrical Engineering/Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or Robotic Studies.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in robotic programming and systems integration, with familiarity in setting up communication protocols and safety parameters.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
