Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated IoT Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in IoT development to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building device communication systems, APIs, and message-driven architectures for IoT and edge computing environments. Exposure to modern frontend technologies such as Angular or React will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software components for IoT and edge computing platforms
- Implement and manage device communication protocols using TCP, UDP, HTTPS, and MQTT
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services
- Work with edge computing devices, gateways, and sensors, ensuring reliable data collection and processing
- Build and integrate message streaming systems using MQTT and Kafka
- Design and manage databases using PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, frontend, DevOps, and QA
- Write clean, maintainable, secure, and well-documented code
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application and system performance
- 1–3 years of experience in IoT development
- Strong experience with device communication protocols: TCP, UDP, HTTPS, MQTT
- Experience in API development (REST-based services preferred)
- Proficiency in Python or Go (Golang)
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Hands-on experience with message streaming or event-driven systems
- Experience working with IoT edge devices, sensors, and gateways
- Understanding of distributed systems and data flow between edge and backend services
- Experience in frontend/UI development using Angular and/or React
- Understanding of frontend–backend integration and API consumption
- Familiarity with Git and version control best practices
- Experience working in Linux-based environments
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and observability tools
- Understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies
- Experience building or supporting real-time or high-throughput data systems
- Awareness of security best practices, authentication, and data protection
