Role Description

As a Senior Developer at Proper Dreams working directly with RevPro team, you will be a part of a community of technical experts working to define the future of event ticketing.

You will work alongside our talented team of developers, machine learning experts, product managers and people leaders. Our developers are leading experts in their domains, helping devise practical and reusable solutions to complex problems. You will drive innovation at multiple levels, helping optimize business outcomes while driving towards strong technology solutions.

You will operate as a developer for our key technologies, platforms and capability domains, creating clear and concise communications, code and other material to share knowledge both inside and outside the organization. Key responsibilities:

  • Data Transformation (ETL/ELT): Build and maintain scripts to extract, clean, and transform data from various sources into usable formats for reporting and application use.
  • Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimize database performance for relational datasets.
  • Manage and query MongoDB collections, utilizing the aggregation framework for unstructured data.
  • Architecture: Collaborate with the Director of Engineering to design scalable data architectures that support business intelligence initiatives.
  • Code Quality: Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure documentation is up to date for all data processes and UI components.
  • Ensure the quality of technical design and implementation
  • Serve as an authoritative expert on non-functional system characteristics, such as observability, resiliency, and operational excellence
  • Continue learning and injecting advanced technical knowledge into our community
  • Handle several projects simultaneously, balancing your time to maximize impact
  • Develop full stack applications with a product engineering mindset, spanning frontend and backend ecosystems that balance simplicity with flexibility
  • Utilize AWS cloud Infrastructure across the entire stack
  • Utilize best practices for modern engineering operations including observability, SLOs, Continuous Deployment, and Incident Management that embrace a "you build it, you run it" mentality
  • Demonstrate ability to write high-quality technical documentation to align partner teams and influence stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Programming, particularly in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable and reliable software solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Familiarity with industry-standard development tools and frameworks
  • Based in the United States
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in cloud computing or microservices architecture is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Software Engineering and solution architecture
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server)
  • Solid experience with MongoDB (schema design, indexing, and performance tuning)
  • Must have C#, Python, Node.js
  • Backend/Scripting: Proficiency in server-side languages to handle API development and data processing scripts.
  • Experience building RESTful or GraphQL APIs
  • At least 3 years of experience in Cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
  • At least 3 years of experience in Data architecture


Salary:

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salary for this role ranges from $65,000 to $100,000, depending on experience, technical expertise, and overall qualifications. This position will operate in a hybrid work environment, offering a combination of both in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.
