As an Orthodontic Insurance Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Verifying patient insurance eligibility and benefits across multiple locations
- Submitting and following up on insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement
- Providing patients with clear financial information and addressing their insurance questions
- Reviewing and adjusting patient accounts to resolve discrepancies
- Coordinating payment plans with the financial team
- Working with practice managers and staff to resolve billing issues
- Utilizing Insurance AI Tools to streamline claims processes
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year of experience in orthodontic insurance coordination (multi-site preferred)
- Strong knowledge of dental or orthodontic insurance, billing, and coding
- Strong excel skills
- Experience working with various insurance companies and plans
- Excellent communication skills – you can explain complex insurance terms in simple language
- A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with practice management software and insurance claim tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel to partner practices when needed
