Job Description
Your Role
We are looking for a student intern to support a Supply Chain Analytics project within our Orthopaedics Supply Chain organization. The focus will be on inventory management analytics and the development of an optimization approach for in‑field inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze inventory data to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
- Support inventory management and stock optimization analyses
- Develop and evaluate concepts for optimized infield inventory levels
- Prepare data-driven insights, dashboards, and management-ready analyses
- Collaborate closely with the Ortho Supply Chain team in Umkirch (local) and in Zug (EMEA)
- Enrolled student (Bachelor or Master) in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Very good Excel skills; experience with data analytics tools and/or Power BI is a plus
- Interest in supply chain optimization and data-driven decision-making
- Structured, proactive, and able to work independently
- Good English language skills (verbal and written)
- Hands-on experience in a real-world MedTech supply chain environment
- Close collaboration with senior supply chain leadership
- Exposure to inventory optimization in a medical technology environment
