PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following
- Works with Clinical Directors and Coordinators to maintain staff coverage for residential programs during the assigned time periods, shifting resources as clinical needs require.
- Supervises the implementation of the patient schedule, including in-house Twelve Step meetings and special events.
- Facilitates team reports, as well as ongoing communication, with senior staff in clinical programs to ensure continuity of care, including collaboration with admissions and nursing services.
- Provides clinical supervision for clinical staff within the scope of practice as defined by licensure and clinical privileges.
- Facilitates individual, group and family counseling sessions within the scope of practice as defined by licensure as needed.
- Coordinates and directly intervenes in clinical crisis situations as needed, communicating with off-site clinical leadership as required.
- Problem solves customer complaints and risk management issues, reporting events to the designated Director and Quality Management as needed.
- Directs emergency code and disaster response for assigned areas until more senior staff arrive, working closely with nursing supervisor and security officer in charge.
- Provides report to supervising Leadership Team member, Clinical Directors and Coordinators re: key shift activity.
- Performs CPR and First Aid, and CPI, as needed.
- Documents pertinent clinical information into the electronic patient record.
- Ensures that a welcoming, safe, and healing environment is maintained for each patient and family throughout the continuum of care.
- Recommends ways to improve the quality and delivery of services.
- Maintains confidentiality of company and patient information.
- Reacts productively to change.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- LADAC required with Master’s Degree preferred or LPC-MSHP, LCSW, or equivalent licensure.
- Five (5) years of clinical experience with two (2) years supervisory experience preferred in job related activities.
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft (Outlook, Work and Excel)
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize clinical software programs.
- Thorough familiarity with substance use disorder treatment, co-occurring mental health disorders, evidence-based practice(s) of the Cumberland Heights Model of Care, and Twelve Step treatment philosophy as well as ability to teach and model same
- Knowledge of and ability to apply information regarding cultural/age/population specific characteristics to patient care in assigned area(s).
- Excellent ability to problem-solve, analyze, and interpret information.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and assignments,
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to be open and culturally sensitive to a wide variety of patients’ experiences.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively speak, read and write in English.
- Ability to interact with all levels of personnel, interact with co-workers and lead a team in a collaborative and courteous manner while providing guidance, instruction, and training.
- If recovering, one year of verifiable abstinence is required with five years preferred.
- Position is on a campus with multiple buildings and surrounding recreational and adventure- based ropes course on grounds (including rough or uneven terrain) that involves the ability to move from one location to another rapidly when crisis occurs.
- Position requires frequent contact with people in crisis, including those who are emotionally volatile and may require additional safety precautions.
- May perform CPR/First Aid as needed (being certified or eligible is required)
- Position is subject to varying shifts (day, evening, weekends) as well as staying overnight for inclement weather as part of critical staffing.
- Ability to lift and/or push pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to speak, hear, see, sit, walk, stand, reach, and use fine/gross motor skills.
