Head of Renewables Sales
Our client is a leading European energy company looking to hire a Head of Renewables Sales in Germany.
As Head of Renewable Sales you will lead a team of 12, driving the growth of its third-party renewable energy sales/origination business, with a strong focus on the German Direktvermarktung market, including renewable certificate products, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies for third-party renewable energy and certificate products
- Lead commercial activities related to balancing PPAs for wind and solar assets
- Structure and manage renewable certificate deals including products
- Maintain and grow inside sales activities while acting as a key interface to Renewables Portfolio Management
- Lead customer service activities, within a strong customer-centric culture while ensuring regulatory compliance
- Expand the third-party renewable portfolio across all operational regions
- Plan and execute marketing activities supporting renewable sales initiatives, overseeing pricing performance throughout.
- Experience within a managerial leadership role
- In-depth understanding of, and experience within, the renewable energy industry, particularly in balancing PPAs and the Direct Marketing ( Direktvermarktung)
- Proven commercial mindset with strong P&L ownership and performance orientation
- Strong network, with established relationships across renewable developers/operators.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and build momentum around growth initiatives
- Strong leadership, people management, and change management capabilities
- Fluent German required
