The Opportunity
When you join PwC Acceleration Centers (ACs), you step into a pivotal role focused on actively supporting various Acceleration Center services, from Advisory to Assurance, Tax and Business Services. In our innovative hubs, you’ll engage in challenging projects and provide distinctive services to support client engagements through enhanced quality and innovation. You’ll also participate in dynamic and digitally enabled training that is designed to grow your technical and professional skills.
As part of the Business Application Consulting team you contribute to the configuration of Guidewire applications and support Java-based development tasks. As an Associate you are expected to focus on learning and contributing to client engagement, developing your skills and knowledge to deliver quality work while building meaningful client connections. This role offers a dynamic environment where you can enhance your technical skills, engage in collaborative projects, and pursue Guidewire certification, setting the stage for your professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and configuration of Guidewire applications
- Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and design solutions
- Participate in coding, testing, and debugging processes
- Support the integration of applications with existing systems
- Engage in knowledge sharing and continuous learning opportunities
- Analyze user feedback to enhance application functionality
- Contribute to project documentation and reporting
- Uphold quality standards and adhere to project timelines
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1 to 3 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
- Strong foundation in Java
- Proficient with version control systems, particularly Git
- Experience with project management and documentation tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Experience or exposure to cloud-based projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to learn and pursue Guidewire certification
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices preferred
- Prior client-facing or consulting experience preferred
- Contributing to Guidewire application configuration
- Supporting Java-based development tasks
- Participating in agile ceremonies and sprint activities
- Collaborating with analysts, QA, and project managers
- Engaging in code reviews
