About the Opportunity

Our client, a prominent New York-based real estate investment trust, is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to advance AI and automation initiatives across its diverse portfolio of office, retail, and residential properties. This role offers the opportunity to lead enterprise-level data engineering projects focused on automation, integration, analytics enablement, and innovation. Working with business, analytics, and IT teams, the Data Engineer will design and optimize Informatica pipelines, Lakehouse architectures, and introduce AI-driven solutions that power strategic decision-making and operational efficiencies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy AI-driven automation solutions and integrate advanced analytics into enterprise workflows using Python, APIs, and scalable automation tools
  • Collaborate with business and analytics teams to identify, prioritize, and implement automation opportunities that streamline operations and support growth initiatives
  • Manage data pipelines, ETL processes, and integrations using Informatica, Azure services, and semantic models for Power BI to ensure accurate data transformation and accessibility
  • Design and maintain the enterprise Data Lake architecture, supporting reporting, analytics, and AI model development with a strong focus on data accuracy and reliability
  • Build and optimize integrations between operational systems, databases, and cloud platforms using REST/GraphQL APIs and native connectors
  • Curate enterprise data sets for self-service analytics and visualization tools; translate stakeholder requirements into high-quality data models
  • Uphold and enhance data governance standards, ensuring lineage tracking, security, quality control, and robust technical documentation
  • Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms for pipeline performance, data quality, and AI model accuracy, adhering to PMO practices and corporate governance
  • Support responsible AI, privacy, and cybersecurity practices throughout all data and integration initiatives

Job Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in Informatica, SQL, Python, and Power BI, with demonstrated hands-on experience in similar enterprise environments
  • Background with AI/ML frameworks, LLM-based tools, and at least one leading cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Proven experience in building, deploying, and maintaining robust API integrations across complex systems
  • Deep understanding of data governance, security, data lineage, and best practices in data management
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, able to manage multiple initiatives, prioritize effectively, and deliver on tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – adept at translating technical solutions into business value for diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build effective partnerships across IT, business, and analytics teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, data science, information systems, or a related discipline
  • 5–8 years of experience in data integration, analytics, or supporting enterprise data infrastructure; exposure to real estate, REIT, or property technology environments is a plus
  • Commitment to ethical, secure, and responsible practices in data engineering and AI deployment
  • Experience with attraction or ticketing systems is desirable
