Operations Manager

We’re hiring a proactive, experienced Production Manager to oversee food manufacturing operations at our Haverhill facility. If you have a strong background in managing hourly production teams, driving efficiency, and maintaining food safety standards like GMP, HACCP, and SQF, this is your opportunity to lead in a fast-growing company known for quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate daily food manufacturing operations across all shifts.


• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and SQF food safety standards at all times.


• Plan and manage shift scheduling, staffing, and labor resources based on production demands.


• Oversee inventory management to ensure materials are available and aligned with production schedules.


• Partner with the maintenance team to support preventive maintenance and reduce equipment downtime.


• Motivate and supervise hourly production staff, fostering a high-performance, safety-focused culture.


• Monitor performance metrics and implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and optimize efficiency.


• Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Planning, Sanitation, HR, and Logistics.


• Maintain accurate production reports, labor records, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Production Manager role within food manufacturing (required)


• Demonstrated success managing hourly shift teams in a fast-paced production environment


• Strong understanding of food safety programs (GMP, HACCP, SQF)


• Proficiency in inventory planning, shift scheduling, and labor optimization


• Experience in implementing lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes


• Working knowledge of ERP or production software; strong Microsoft Office skills


• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent hands-on manufacturing leadership experience

Position Details:

• Shift Coverage: All shifts


• Location: On-site in Haverhill, MA


• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday with flexibility for weekends and extended hours
