Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our Product Engineering team in Dublin. Scorebuddy is a leading Quality Management SaaS platform for Contact Centres, combining quality management, coaching and learning with advanced AI analytics. We help hundreds of customers worldwide to be operationally efficient, scale their contact centres, improve agent performance and enhance overall customer experience.

You’ll partner closely with our developers, product managers and customer engineering colleagues to ship reliable releases across a modern stack. The focus of this role is extending and maintaining automated test coverage across our web application, APIs and key integrations using tools such as Playwright, Cypress and similar frameworks, plugged into our CI/CD pipelines so that regressions are caught early.

As we continue to scale the platform to serve customer environments ranging from 20 to 20,000 end users, you’ll have a direct hand in raising the quality bar. You’ll help shape our QA strategy as it moves from a predominantly manual operation toward a sustainable, automation first model, with the autonomy to introduce the practices, tooling and patterns needed to get us there.

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on QA experience with a strong focus on test automation
• Demonstrable experience building and maintaining UI automation suites with tools such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium
• Solid API testing experience, including writing automated checks against REST endpoints
• Comfortable operating in CI/CD environments and wiring tests into pipelines such as GitHub Actions or similar
• Strong grounding in testing methodologies, including risk-based testing, regression strategy and release readiness
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams using Scrum or Kanban
• Proficient with Git and collaborative source control workflows in distributed teams
• Excellent written and spoken communication, with the ability to make defects and test outcomes legible to non-QA colleagues

Nice To Have

• ISTQB certification or equivalent formal QA training
• Performance testing experience using tools such as k6, JMeter or Gatling
• Exposure to test data management and synthetic data generation
• Familiarity with contact centre platforms or related domains
• Experience contributing to QA strategy or rolling out an automation programme in a previously manual environment

Education & Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience

What You’ll Do

• Design, build and maintain automated end-to-end test suites covering Scorebuddy’s web application, APIs and key integration paths
• Integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipelines so regressions are caught before they reach staging or production
• Expand API and integration test coverage, working with the Integration squad on data ingestion and the AI squad on AI workflows
• Partner with developers and product managers to translate requirements into clear acceptance criteria and automated coverage
• Triage, reproduce and document defects with enough detail that engineers can act on them without follow-up cycles
• Contribute to release readiness by coordinating regression runs, smoke tests and post deploy verification with squad leads
• Drive continuous improvement of our QA tooling, frameworks and practices, identifying gaps and proposing pragmatic solutions
• Mentor colleagues on test automation patterns and help raise QA literacy across the engineering organisation
