This is a highly hands‑on, customer‑facing role ideal for engineers who love solving complex problems, working with new technology, and seeing their work come to life in real fabs around the world. Domestic and international travel (25–75%) is expected and varies by product lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate closely with Hardware, Electrical, Controls, Process, and Software Engineering teams to become the system‑level expert on newly developed products
- Influence product design by representing the voice of the customer, including design‑for‑service, design‑for‑manufacturability, and preventive maintenance considerations
- Own the first build and test of new products in the development lab, providing real‑time feedback, identifying issues, and recommending solutions
- Develop and document best‑known methods for service, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance
- Lead First‑in‑Fab (Alpha and Beta) customer deployments, including fab readiness, installation, startup, and production qualification
- Drive resolution of customer issues during Alpha and Beta phases, acting as the primary technical owner for new product performance in the field
- Produce detailed reporting on field issues to support continuous product improvement
- Define critical spare parts lists and ensure initial stocking levels are ready for new product launches
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
- Hands‑on experience (academic or professional) with hardware systems
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- High curiosity, motivation, and enthusiasm for learning new technologies
- A passion for working with new products, testing them, and becoming a true system‑level expert
- Coursework or interest in Arduino or open‑source electronic prototyping platforms is a plus
- Willingness and ability to travel 25–75% domestically and internationally
