Lumicity is partnered with a next-generation machine vision company combining advanced sensing and AI to help machines understand the physical world beyond traditional cameras, with a team largely made up of ex-NASA engineers and scientists. They're looking for a Flight Software Engineer to architect the invisible intelligence that keeps machines alive, aware, and mission-ready from sensor to downlink.

Ideal Experience
- 2–6+ years in flight software, embedded systems, or robotics
- Strong Python + C++/Rust; experience with embedded Linux (e.g., Jetson-class systems)
- Hands-on hardware/software integration (drivers, sensors, protocols, debugging)
- Strong systems thinking concurrency, memory, performance, and failure handling
- Experience with onboard data systems (buffering, storage, compression, downlink)
- Familiar with simulation, SIL/HIL testing, and CI/CD workflows
Nice to Have
- CI/CD, automated testing, and GitLab pipelines
- HIL testing or high-fidelity simulation experience
- Spacecraft, avionics, sensors, or robotics background
- End-to-end ownership of embedded or flight software systems
- Interest in geospatial or Earth observation systems
