Responsibilities
As a Network Engineer within Insight’s Infrastructure Managed Services Team, your primary role will be a Network Engineer on diverse and challenging customer projects. You will be a member of a team responsible for incident resolution and service request handling for a wide variety of networking technologies. Along the way you will get to:
- Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot WAN and LAN connections for multiple clients.
- Use remote monitoring tools and protocol analyzers to troubleshoot, diagnose and solve network problems. Devices expected to be encountered include routers, switches, wireless access points, wireless controllers, firewalls, next generation firewalls, firewall management consoles, load balancers, SASE solutions, etc.
- Perform advanced, complex network analysis, identify problems, and determine solutions.
- Recommend enhancements to the network that will improve the quality, performance, security, and reliability of the network.
- Creates and maintains documentation of networks and network systems.
- Follows project methodologies to complete assigned tasks.
- Provides technical network expertise to others as necessary, including instructing field personnel in basic network troubleshooting and problem resolution.

- Degree in Computer/Information Science, technical college, or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years progressive experience in networking
- Requires expert level experience with Palo Alto SDWan (Prisma, ION, Strata Cloud Manager, etc).
- Prefers Associate/Professional level experience with Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Cisco ASA/Firepower,F5, Fortinet Firewall/AP/Switch, Juniper, et. al.
