AI Engineer Intern

Location: Sector 44, Gurgaon (In-Office)

About The Role

We are building Clara, a system of AI agents that helps users find the right dermatology treatments. We need an intern who can move past basic ChatGPT wrappers and help us build real, multi-step AI workflows. You will work in our Gurgaon office to make sure our AI can accurately recommend products like Niacinamide Serum or Hydrating Cleanser based on real medical logic.

What You Will Do

• Build AI Agents: Help manage and improve our 7-agent system that talks to users and helps them navigate our catalog of 15,000 plus products.
• Logic and Handoffs: Write the code that tells an AI agent when to answer a question and when to pass the user to a different specialist agent.
• Search and Retrieval: Use Pinecone to help the AI find the exact Sunscreen or Hair Growth Serum a user needs from our database.
• Vision Features: Work on tools that let users upload photos for skin analysis and clinical diagnosis.
• Testing and Costs: Use Langfuse to track how much each AI response costs and make sure the answers are actually correct.
• Doctor Feedback: Help turn feedback from real skin doctors into data that makes our AI smarter over time.

• Python Skills: You should be very comfortable with Python and async programming.
• LLM Experience: You have used APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini to build more than just a simple chatbot.
• Agent Knowledge: You understand how to give an AI tools (functions) to call so it can perform real tasks.
• Vector Databases: Basic experience with Pinecone, FAISS, or similar tools for searching through product data.

• You have used LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen before.
• You understand RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
• You can build simple frontends in React or Next.js to show off your AI tools.

• Real Users: Your code will be used by people looking for actual skincare and health solutions.
• No Toy Projects: You will work on our production code, not a side project that gets deleted later.
• Direct Mentorship: You will sit with our senior engineers and learn how to ship AI at scale.
