You will work on developing and applying modern machine learning approaches to complex internal datasets, contributing to projects that aim to enhance research efficiency and insight generation. The position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with scientists from experimental laboratories and translate real-world scientific challenges into computational solutions.
Your Tasks And Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize machine learning models using Python
- Work with large, complex, and heterogeneous datasets in a research setting
- Review, interpret, and reproduce methods from scientific literature
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including experimental scientists, to understand data generation processes and research needs
- Communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Contribute to best practices in code quality, reproducibility, and documentation
- University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field
- Strong programming skills in Python e.g., NumPy, pandas, PyTorch/TensorFlow or similar
- Solid understanding of machine learning principles and model development workflows
- Familiarity with deep learning or advanced modelling approaches is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to read and implement methods from scientific publications
- Interest in working at the interface of computational and experimental research
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams
- We ensure your financial stability with a competitive salary between 5.426,00€ and 5.913,00€ per month (full-time) plus annual bonus, holiday bonus, and Christmas bonus/13th-month salary. Your compensation is based on your qualifications, skills, and professional experience.
