Fullstack Developer (React / TypeScript)

As a Fullstack Developer, you will be responsible for developing, improving, and continuously evolving our applications and platforms. You work daily with modern technologies such as React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling, while looking beyond just writing code.

You collaborate closely with developers, architects, Product Owners, and other stakeholders across our development teams. We expect you to independently pick up features, actively contribute to solution design, and take ownership of the quality and progress of your work.

Additionally, you will:

• Build scalable and user-friendly web applications
• Actively contribute to technical improvements and innovation
• Help develop and maintain our React component library
• Support the improvement of development processes and code quality
• Work in an agile/scrum environment across multiple development teams
• Contribute to innovative solutions where software and hardware come together

You are someone who takes ownership of your work. You do not wait for everything to be fully defined, but ask the right questions, contribute to solutions, and help turn work into something concrete and actionable. You are able to estimate work and complexity accurately and communicate proactively about progress, risks, dependencies, and potential blockers.

You feel comfortable in an environment where products, processes, and technologies are constantly evolving. You are not afraid of innovation, changing scope, or uncertainty, but instead see this as part of building modern software products.

What do you bring?

• A completed HBO degree in a relevant field
• Experience developing modern web applications
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript and React
• Experience with Tailwind CSS, Jest, and Cypress
• Experience independently handling features and development tickets
• The ability to accurately estimate work and technical complexity
• Proactive communication about progress, risks, and dependencies
• Comfort working in an environment with innovation, change, and uncertainty

• Experience with Git and GitLab CI/CD
• Experience with NextJS and/or Figma
• Experience within a product-driven software environment

What we offer:

• A one-year contract with the intention of a permanent contract afterward
• A salary between €3,000 and €5,200 per month, depending on experience
• Hybrid working; we work at least 3 days per week from our office in Enschede (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday)

You will work at BauWatch Technology, the R&D and software development department of the BauWatch Group. This is where we build the technology behind our security solutions.

The department consists of approximately 50 engineers working across multiple teams, each with its own focus area. Much of our work is at the intersection of IoT, smart technology, and automation.

The atmosphere is informal. We build serious software, but there is always room for humor and a good team spirit.
