Senior Full-Stack Engineer, AI HealthTech

Compensation: $200K–$250K base + Strong Early Stage Equity

Location: NYC — 5 days onsite

An early-stage AI healthtech company is building workflow automation software for behavioral health clinicians and private practices.

This team started by tackling one of the biggest pain points in clinical care: documentation. Their AI-powered platform helps clinicians automate note-taking and reduce administrative work by roughly 90%, and has already supported millions of patient encounters.

Now, they are expanding into a broader operating system for behavioral health, spanning billing automation, prior authorizations, compliance, intake workflows, and a shared AI infrastructure layer powering intelligence across the product.

This is a high-ownership, product-heavy engineering role for someone who wants to build directly with users, ship fast, and shape the foundations of a company at an early stage.

What You’ll Do

  • Ship end-to-end product features across frontend, backend, infrastructure, data, and AI workflows
  • Build user-facing tools used by clinicians before, during, and after patient sessions
  • Help scale a shared intelligence layer that powers automation across the platform
  • Work closely with product and customers to turn feedback into production features quickly
  • Improve developer tooling, infrastructure, and internal systems as the team scales
  • Own outcomes, not tickets — influencing product direction and technical decisions

What You’ll Bring

  • Production engineering experience
  • Strong full-stack ability and comfort moving across product, infra, data, and AI workflows
  • Experience in a startup, product-led, or high-velocity engineering environment
  • High agency, strong user intuition, and a bias toward shipping
  • Comfort working with ambiguity in a small, fast-moving team
  • Familiarity with AI-native development workflows such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar tools
  • A humble, curious, product-minded approach to engineering

Why Join?

You will work directly on product direction, customer feedback, and systems that meaningfully reduce administrative burden for clinicians.

You will be joining a small, high-calibre team with strong runway, meaningful traction, and a clear mission: helping independent behavioral health practices compete with larger healthcare systems by giving them enterprise-grade automation.

Expect high ownership, direct customer impact, fast shipping cycles, and the opportunity to shape both the product and engineering culture from an early stage.
