This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in Japan and New York headquarter, manage content and site operations, and contribute to the development of long-term e-commerce strategies. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on business performance.
Key Accountabilities
- E-Commerce Operations & Site Management
- Manage daily e-commerce operations, including sales reporting and content updates.
- Execute global and local content strategies to support brand and business objectives.
- Coordinate with Japan and NY e-commerce & IT teams to support project implementation.
- Provide prompt assistance to resolve website-related issues.
- Maintain site accuracy, functionality, and best-in-class client experience.
- Performance Analysis & Sales Growth
- Monitor daily sales and site KPIs, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities.
- Propose data driven action plans with clear KPIs and timelines to drive incremental sales.
- Optimize user experience and conversion through continuous analysis and testing.
- Digital Strategy & Marketing Collaboration
- Support the development and execution of e-commerce strategies aligned with global and local priorities.
- Work closely with the appointed advertising agency to innovate digital marketing approaches to strengthen traffic, conversion, and revenue.
- Define KPIs for initiatives, analyze results, and share insights to guide future actions.
- Ensure owned media activities reflect brand vision.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Team Contribution
- Share expertise within the Digital Commerce and Omnichannel team.
- Act as a key representative of Japan e-commerce in cross-functional discussions with internal teams and global HQ.
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
- 3+ years of experience in e-commerce or digital business (retail preferred; luxury not required).
- Experience in digital marketing to support performance media planning and evaluation.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Familiarity with website analytics tools and content management system. (Power BI, Google Looker Studio, or similar analytics tools preferred).
- Self-starter with high level of initiative, problem-solving skills and ownership mindset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Native-Business Japanese (heavy involvement in content localization).
- Business level English (direct communication with HQ is mandatory).
