YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• You lead and grow a high-performing engineering team, coaching frontend, backend, and AI engineers to foster ownership, collaboration and excellence
• You own the technical direction of distributed service architecture, guiding the team toward scalable, reliable and observable systems
• You drive AI-powered software engineering to translate prototypes into reliable, safe and measurable agentic solutions
• You guarantee seamless end-to-end consistency across the customer experience
• You align stakeholders across divisions and collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth and scalable delivery

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• Experience You bring proven experience in software engineering leadership managing complex architectures and production systems on AWS
• Know-how You have strong expertise in distributed system design, APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures and cloud-native delivery
• Skills You are proficient in Java backend software engineering and familiar with AI and agentic coding
• Motivation You champion operational excellence through observability, on-call culture and incident learning
• Team Spirit You collaborate naturally across functions and international teams, aligning engineers, product owners and business stakeholders
• Communication You think with a business and product mindset, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
