Position Summary
The Marketing Manager is responsible for downstream marketing initiatives supporting our Trauma and Joint Replacement divisions. This includes but is not limited to executing commercial launches, training sales, hosting promotional events, developing sales tools and collateral, supporting product development efforts, and partnering with sales teams to achieve our revenue goals. Surgeon engagement is also a key component to the role.
Essential Functions
- Influences customer behavior and brand perception through strategy, messaging and experience
- Keeps a strong pulse on the market by attending trade shows, VIP surgeon events, surgeries and labs
- Develops and drives initiatives to increase brand awareness through clarity and consistency of messaging
- Works closely with Sales Training, Surgeon Education and Professional Affairs teams to execute Marketing plans
- Provides subject matter expertise for assigned products supporting Sales and customer product training as well as clinical support (e.g. troubleshooting, set logistics, etc.)
- Takes the lead on the management of KOL’s to execute promotional plan and clinical evidence strategy
- Leads creation of product value messaging and product claims substantiation through clinical evidence generation. Using this information, develops marketing assets such as surgical techniques, sales collateral, and product in-service guides
- Provides guidance in key sales situations for the product such as surgeon engagements
- Develops and owns multi-channel marketing campaigns, including core content development, messaging and positioning, for procedural portfolio and ensure alignment across regions
- Oversees marketing execution in regions to ensure consistent approach and strategy
- Coordinates with regions in adapting global downstream marketing strategy and campaigns to region-specific circumstances
- Acts as a source of knowledge for and effectively coaches other product managers and assists with their ability to execute their daily tasks
- Collaborates with upstream marketing to develop product launch plan responsible for customer segmentation/targeting, positioning and value propositions
- Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.
- Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
- Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office with a strong ability to create presentations, analyze data and write Marketing / Business plans
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong confidence to present before groups of customers, vendors, peers, and leadership
- Proficient with clinical concepts, technical details and engages in meaningful decision-making conversations with surgeons, sales, marketing, training, and other corporate teams

- Willingness to travel up to 35%
- Comfort in a clinical and/or lab setting
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a master’s degree
- Experience in Product Marketing/Management
- Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Required to possess specific visons abilities, including: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus.
