Position: Game Tools & Modding Engineer
Type: Contract
Compensation: $20 - $80/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities
- Design and develop game systems and engine-level features using C++ and game engines
- Develop tools and modding related to games to enhance user experience
- Work on rendering pipelines, shaders, and real-time graphics systems to ensure high performance
- Optimize performance across CPU/GPU, memory, and rendering workloads for efficient gameplay
- Build and extend tools, pipelines, and engine systems to support ongoing development efforts
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to deliver high-quality gaming experiences
Requirements
- Have strong relevant experience in game development or real-time graphics programming, ideally between 3 to
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in C++ programming language
- Have hands-on experience with one or more graphics APIs such as DirectX (DX11/12), Vulkan, or OpenGL
- Possess a solid understanding of rendering pipelines, shaders (HLSL/GLSL), and 3D math concepts
- Have experience with Unreal Engine or similar game engines and familiarity with performance optimization techniques
