🔵 Hiring | Senior AI Platform Engineer | Zurich | Leading Private Bank

The Role This is a hands-on platform and DevOps engineering role. You'll be responsible for building, running and continuously improving the AI platform infrastructure that internal teams — including data scientists and analysts — depend on daily.

You're not designing strategy. You're making things work reliably, securely and at scale in a regulated banking environment.

Day-to-day this means provisioning environments, writing infrastructure-as-code, building observability into the platform, managing GenAI vendors, and converting recurring platform problems into reusable, enterprise-grade features.

What You'll Be Doing

• Define and build platform infrastructure in code — Terraform is your default, not a nice-to-have
• Build monitoring, alerting and observability across the AI platform from the ground up
• Support and enable data scientist workflows and internal platform customers
• Integrate low-code (Power Platform, Power Automate) and pro-code capabilities across the platform
• Manage containerised deployments — OpenShift experience expected
• Onboard and train internal users; act as a platform partner to the business
• Manage vendor relationships across GenAI tooling
• Contribute to governance guardrails and agent monitoring frameworks
• Work within Private Link network constraints — understanding the impact on data flows and RAG architecture

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on platform or DevOps engineering background — 5+ years
• Strong Terraform and IaC experience — essential
• Azure platform experience — AI Foundry, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform
• Containerisation experience — OpenShift preferred, Kubernetes considered
• CI/CD pipeline ownership and automated testing
• Experience supporting internal customers and translating recurring problems into platform features — a background in Microsoft support or consulting is a genuine indicator of fit here
• Power BI and/or on-prem Tableau familiarity
• Strong communication skills — you'll work closely with non-technical stakeholders
• Fluent English; German a plus

What This Role Is Not This is not a senior architect or strategy role. The right person is a builder and operator who takes ownership, works independently and makes tooling enterprise-grade rather than just functional. If you're looking to delegate the hands-on work, this isn't the right fit.

💰 Up to ~135k base + ~10% bonus
