AI Tech Lead

We are hiring an AI Tech Lead for a fast-growing AI-native company operating in the mental health and healthcare technology space. The company is building an intelligent platform that combines telehealth, clinical workflows, AI-powered documentation, and operational systems into a unified product experience.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role with a pathway to CTO as the company scales. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the technical direction of the platform, lead architecture decisions, contribute directly to development, and help shape the future of AI-driven healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction and architecture of the platform across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and AI systems
• Contribute hands-on to software development across web, mobile, backend services, and AI workflows
• Design and implement AI orchestration systems, multi-agent workflows, and RAG pipelines
• Build scalable and reliable integrations with LLM providers and AI services
• Develop and maintain cloud-native infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Work on real-time systems including telehealth, voice, and live transcription workflows
• Maintain secure, scalable, multi-tenant application architecture
• Improve system reliability, observability, testing, and engineering standards
• Collaborate closely with leadership, product, and operations teams to align technical execution with business goals
• Support the growth of the engineering function through mentorship, hiring, and technical leadership

Qualifications & Skills

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong full-stack development capabilities
• Strong experience with modern TypeScript ecosystems and backend architecture
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI-powered products in production environments
• Strong understanding of LLM orchestration, RAG systems, vector retrieval, and prompt engineering
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Experience building scalable APIs, distributed systems, and modern infrastructure
• Strong systems thinking and ability to make architectural decisions in fast-moving environments
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Comfortable working in startup or high-growth environments with high ownership

Nice to Have

• Experience with real-time systems, WebRTC, voice AI, or transcription platforms
• Experience with mobile development frameworks such as React Native
• Familiarity with healthcare technology or compliance-heavy systems
• Experience leading engineering teams or working in founding engineer environments
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and event-driven architectures
