About the Role
The Retail Account Manager will play a crucial role in managing relationships and driving sales within Local retailers, ensuring optimal product placement and execution of marketing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Channel Management & Strategic Partnership: Serve as the primary point of contact for Local retailers‘ category managers and buyers; Negotiate floor space, shelf positioning, and promotional slots; Develop and execute annual/quarterly joint business plans (JBP) with Homecenter.
- Sales & Sell-out Optimization: Analyze weekly sales data (Sell-in/Sell-out) and inventory levels; Design and implement localized promotional activities; Monitor competitor activities.
- Retail Excellence & Store Operations: Conduct regular store visits; Supervise and mentor in-store promoters; Coordinate the logistics of new product displays.
- Financial & Budget Management: Manage the channel budget (rebates, marketing funds); Ensure all commercial agreements are executed accurately.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years in Retail or Key Account Management (KAM) in Colombia.
- Industry Background: Experience with Home Center or major DIY/Home Improvement retailers (e.g., Easy, Constructor) is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, data analysis (Excel), and relationship-building.
- Languages: Native Spanish; Professional English (required for reporting).
- Mobility: Willingness to travel to Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, etc.
