State Product Manager – Personal Lines (Remote)

Leading Fortune 100 P&C insurance organization is hiring State Product Managers to own strategy, performance, and profitability for key Personal Lines markets. This position provides true ownership at the state level, leading pricing, underwriting appetite, product structure, regulatory strategy, and financial performance in close partnership with actuarial, underwriting, sales, claims, legal, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Own strategy and financial performance for assigned states
• Develop and execute multi‑year state business plans aligned to enterprise goals
• Lead pricing, underwriting appetite, and product structure decisions
• Analyze profitability, market trends, and competitive positioning
• Partner with Actuarial, Underwriting, Sales, Claims, Legal, and Technology teams
• Manage rate reviews, regulatory engagement, and compliance activities
• Communicate results and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
• Lead and develop a small team (up to two direct reports)

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Personal Lines product management or underwriting
• Proven experience managing state‑level P&L and profitability
• Strong strategic thinking and data‑driven decision‑making skills
• Ability to influence cross‑functional partners and leadership
• Experience working with state regulators and understanding market dynamics
• Bachelor’s degree required (MBA, CPCU, actuarial background a plus)

Compensation

• $130-150k
