About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Procurement to lead and elevate our procurement function. This is an executive-level opportunity for a strategic operator with deep healthcare procurement expertise who is ready to drive meaningful cost savings, strengthen supplier partnerships, and build a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise procurement strategies focused on cost savings, operational efficiency, and supplier optimization.

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, vendor selection, and relationship management.

• Negotiate favorable pricing, service agreements, and contract terms while maintaining strong supplier partnerships and mitigating organizational risk.

• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing procurement team by establishing clear expectations, accountability, and development opportunities.

• Ensure procurement activities comply with organizational policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Monitor supplier performance metrics and proactively address service, quality, or compliance concerns.

• Collaborate with operational, finance, clinical, and executive stakeholders to align procurement initiatives with broader business objectives.

• Conduct ongoing market and industry analysis to identify pricing trends, sourcing opportunities, and process improvements.

• Drive initiatives that improve margins, strengthen purchasing controls, and enhance overall procurement operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field required.

• 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management within a healthcare environment.

• Minimum of 5+ years of direct leadership experience managing procurement or sourcing teams.

• Demonstrated success driving cost savings, improving margins, and managing vendor performance.

• Strong contract negotiation and supplier management skills with a proven track record of securing favorable commercial outcomes.

• Solid financial and analytical acumen, including understanding of cost structures, pricing models, and market dynamics.

• Working knowledge of EMR systems and Microsoft Office 365 applications.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

• 15+ years of progressive procurement or strategic sourcing experience.

• Experience leading procurement transformation or operational improvement initiatives within complex healthcare organizations.
