Python Engineer – Systematic Trading Platform
Permanent
Based in Champaign, Illinois
Join a high-performing quantitative investment team building scalable trading and research technology across global markets. This is a permanent opportunity, based in Champaign, Illinois. The role is based full-time in the office – 5 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Build Python-based trading, research, and data infrastructure
- Develop backtesting, signal generation, and execution tooling
- Partner directly with quants and traders to deliver production-ready solutions
- Improve automation, monitoring, CI/CD, and platform reliability
- Work with large-scale data and cloud-native environments
Skills and Experience:
- Strong Python & SQL engineering skills
- Strong academic background, ideally holding a Degree from a top US University
- Experience within systematic trading, quant research, or data-intensive platforms
- Knowledge of pandas, NumPy, Polars, Airflow or similar tools
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and distributed systems
- Strong problem-solving mindset and interest in financial markets
