What You'll Do
- Design and develop with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver world-class experiences for both our customers and our partners.
- Write scalable and testable code while implementing comprehensive end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate on architectural planning for new features, services, APIs, and external provider integrations.
- Contribute innovative ideas to enhance cardholder experiences, boost revenue opportunities, reduce engineering costs, and drive growth in our fast-paced business.
- Troubleshoot production issues across several micro-services in order to successfully navigate issues that arise during on-call assignments.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Go (our primary backend language), Java, Python, or similar languages
- Solid understanding of software development fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Proven experience with APIs and database systems like MySQL and DynamoDB
- Experience with version control systems like Git and collaborative development workflows
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- 2–4 years of professional experience in software development with demonstrated growth and impact
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing secure coding standards
- Experience with micro-services architecture and distributed systems
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools
