A well-established FinTech organisation is looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join it's Business Intelligence and Analytics function during an exciting period of transformation.
Having recently completed a major migration to Microsoft Fabric, the team is now focused on pushing the boundaries of modern analytics through Python automation, AI-enabled workflows, and advanced data capabilities across the business.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with over 2 years of experience who enjoys combining analytics, automation, and modern data science techniques to solve real business problems in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
You’ll work closely with the BI Manager, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to improve how data is used across the organisation - from forecasting and segmentation through to AI-assisted automation and intelligent reporting solutions.
What you’ll be doing
- Using SQL and Python to extract, analyse, and automate data-driven workflows
- Building analytics solutions and visualisations using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
- Supporting segmentation, forecasting, and exploratory analysis initiatives
- Developing Python-based automations and AI-assisted processes to improve efficiency and scalability
- Working with modern cloud data platforms and helping evolve the organisation’s analytics capability
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and recommendations
- Supporting the ongoing development of data models, pipelines, and reporting solutions
- Exploring innovative uses of AI tooling and automation within analytics workflows

We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, technically proactive, and excited by the future of modern analytics and AI-enabled data teams.
You’ll ideally have:
- Strong Python skills for analytics, scripting, and automation
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience working with analytics or BI tools such as Power BI
- Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Fabric, Databricks, Synapse.
- Interest in AI tooling, workflow automation, or AI-assisted analytics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
- A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in improving processes and technology
