At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models. We're looking for experienced application security professionals to help AI systems learn how to think like a security engineer: assessing vulnerabilities, prioritizing real risk, and recommending practical remediations.

This is a remote, flexible, contract role. You set your schedule and work on your own terms.

What You'll Do

• Analyze realistic application security scenarios across code, APIs, and system behavior
• Identify and classify vulnerabilities including authentication flaws, injection risks, access control issues, and business logic bugs
• Evaluate secure coding practices and assess the quality of remediation strategies
• Build and validate security-focused reasoning datasets that teach AI to accurately assess application risk
• Apply your real-world instincts to distinguish genuinely exploitable issues from noise

• 2+ years of experience in application security, product security, or software security roles
• Solid working knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 and common production vulnerabilities
• Strong ability to assess real-world exploitability — not just theoretical risk
• Clear, structured written communication when explaining security findings and reasoning
• Comfortable working independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments

• Experience with penetration testing, secure code review, or threat modeling
• Familiarity with bug bounty programs or vulnerability disclosure processes
• Background in API security, cloud-native applications, or DevSecOps

• Work directly on frontier AI systems with top research labs
• Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule, 10–40 hours/week
