AI/Data Platform Engineer - Equity Trading

On behalf of a $30BN AUM fund, we are hiring an elite AI focused data platform engineer, this role will sit next-generation investment platform at the intersection of AI, data, and global investing.

This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative, research-driven investment firm with a global mandate across public and private markets. The team combines deep fundamental investing expertise with cutting-edge technology, leveraging AI and modern engineering practices to drive differentiated insights and operational advantage.

You’ll play a foundational role in designing and building the internal AI-native platform that powers investment research, automation, workflows, and decision-making across the business.

What You’ll Do

• Build scalable data platforms, APIs, and workflow infrastructure that power AI-enabled applications and internal tooling
• Develop secure, reliable, and discoverable data products for both humans and AI systems
• Create self-serve AI capabilities that allow non-technical users to build workflows, copilots, and automation tools safely and efficiently
• Design orchestration systems that combine data retrieval, business logic, LLMs, and human review
• Build reusable platform primitives, connectors, templates, and governance layers
• Operate in a modern agentic engineering environment using multiple AI agents for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and rapid iteration
• Ship production-grade systems quickly while maintaining engineering quality and scalability

What We’re Looking For

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and system design experience
• Proven experience building backend systems, APIs, data infrastructure, or platform tooling
• Experience with AI/LLM workflows, orchestration frameworks, retrieval systems, or automation platforms
• Strong product intuition and ability to build independently at high velocity
• Comfortable working in fast-moving, high-conviction environments
• Excitement for AI-native development and the future of agentic engineering
