Long-Term Contract Opportunity | Workplace AI/ Endpoint Engineering – AI Enablement | NYC (Hybrid)

A leading alternative investment firm is seeking a hands-on Workplace /Endpoint Engineer with a strong engineering mindset and genuine interest in AI technologies.

Important: this is a true Workplace Engineering / Endpoint Engineering role — not a helpdesk or desktop support position. The team is specifically looking for candidates with recent experience building, packaging, automating, deploying, and engineering enterprise endpoint environments at scale.

What they’re looking for:

• 6–8+ years of recent Desktop Engineering / Endpoint Engineering experience

• Strong background with Intune, SCCM/MECM, Entra ID, M365, Azure Virtual Desktop/Windows 365

• Experience with application packaging, imaging, deployment automation, GPO, PowerShell, VDI (Citrix/AVD), and endpoint compliance

• Experience supporting MDM/MAM controls and modern endpoint environments across Windows and Mac

• Ability to work cross-functionally with infrastructure, security, and AI teams around deployment and governance of AI applications/tools

• Understanding of AI-related endpoint requirements including WSL, Hyper-V, compute/resource considerations, and troubleshooting AI applications at the endpoint layer

This is an engineering-heavy environment focused on automation, deployment strategy, endpoint architecture, and modern device management — not ticket queue support.

Example of the environment:

The team may decide to roll out a tool like Grammarly, Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, or another AI application. This engineer would own the packaging, testing, approvals, deployment strategy, endpoint compatibility, and ongoing support from an engineering perspective.

This is a highly visible, long-term contract opportunity with strong potential for conversion down the line.

Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite in NYC.
