We’re hiring a Founding Engineer to join an $8M seed-stage startup building an agentic AI operating system for nursing homes, founded by repeat entrepreneurs with prior successful exits and already seeing strong demand with 500+ nursing homes on the waitlist.

The company is tackling a $200B, deeply broken industry by automating administrative and back-office workflows so care teams can focus on patients. Their platform acts as an ambient AI co-pilot—capturing bedside interactions, generating clinical documentation in real time, and using vocal biomarkers to detect early health signals—while evolving toward fully autonomous workflows across intake, billing, auditing, and clinical operations.

What You’ll Do:

As a Founding Engineer, you’ll work in-person in New York, directly alongside the founders and founding growth lead. You’ll shape both the product and the engineering culture from day one.

• Build core systems powering the ambient AI scribe (audio capture → structured clinical data)
• Develop automated workflows that surface risks and reduce re-hospitalizations
• Integrate vocal biomarker models to detect early/undiagnosed conditions
• Design product experiences that materially improve nurses’ day-to-day
• Establish engineering standards, tooling, and best practices from the ground up

Bonus Points:

• Worked on agentic systems, not just used Cursor or Claude Code
• Experience at companies with healthcare adjacency

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science (or equivalent) with 3+ years of experience
• Backend or full-stack engineer who has owned production systems end-to-end
• Highly autonomous with strong ownership from idea → deployment
• Deep technical skills with a bias toward experimenting with modern AI tools
• Motivated by impact, with a genuine interest in helping others
