Senior AI/ML Engineer

Hyper-growth an AI-data aggregation firm in the defense tech and commercial space is looking to bring on a Senior AI/ML Engineer in Arlington, Virginia (hybrid). This position spans: AI/ML infrastructure, NLP, knowledge systems, data engineering, as well as building scalable ML pipelines for deployment at scale. The ideal candidate will have a startup/small team background + mentality owning ML systems end-to-end.

Preferred:

- Bachelors degree in related field

- Background building and deploying ML models into production

- Experience with MLOps tools: SageMaker, Bedrock, Kubeflow or similar

- Background with NLP, LLM's and semantic retrieval

- Strong background with Python and ML frameworks: Tensorflow, PyTorch or similar

- Background with cloud platforms(AWS, Azure, and.or GCP)

Great to have:

- Masters or PHD in related field

- Experience with generative and agentic AI frameworks

- Experience with cloud based data warehousing tools like Snowflake and Redshift

- Experience with experimental design and deep learning

- Established research + peer reviewed publications would be a big plus

- Active Secret clearance or above
