About the Role
You will own VIDA’s Document Verification and Liveness product lines — two of the most ML-intensive, fraud-critical surfaces in our suite — as a global product role spanning Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. Each market brings its own document templates, regulatory regime, and fraud patterns; you will set one coherent product direction across all four.
This role is a deep partnership with our Data Science and ML teams. You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle from inception to GTM, drive trade-offs in genuinely probabilistic systems (FAR/FRR, thresholds, attack vectors), and translate complex ML behavior into language that customers, regulators, and commercial teams can act on. Comfort with ambiguity is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of Doc Verification and Liveness across SEA — market and competitor research through PRD, build, launch, and post-launch iteration.
- Set the product quality bar with Data Science: FAR/FRR targets per risk tier, test-set methodology, and acceptance criteria across OCR, spoof/forgery, PAD, dedup, injection, faceswap, and GenAI forgery defense.
- Define target customers and prioritise ruthlessly across banking onboarding, telco SIM-reg, lending, crypto, and public sector — anchored in transaction volume, revenue, and fraud-risk evidence rather than loudest-voice requests.
- Translate ML behavior into clear external narratives for enterprise customers and regulators (BNM, OJK, BoT, BSP, Komdigi); influence pricing, packaging, SLAs, and customer-facing thresholds.
- Lead Go-to-Market with marketing, sales, partnerships, and Solutions Architecture — positioning, sales enablement, market sequencing, and structured feedback into the roadmap.
- Own early-adoption metrics: integration time-to-live, customer acceptance rates, fraud catch uplift, FRR regression, and conversion impact in live production funnels.
Qualifications
- 6+ years in product management, with meaningful time on Data Science / ML / AI-driven products — where probabilistic system behavior, model evaluation, and data quality were core to your PM craft.
- Prior experience in KYC, Liveness, biometrics, document verification, fraud, or digital identity preferred; strong adjacent experience in regulated B2B (fintech, banking, telco) also considered.
- Strong technical fluency: API and SDK product surfaces (mobile iOS/Android and web), 3rd-party and bespoke integration patterns, on-device vs server-side trade-offs, and instrumentation/billing/telemetry design.
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with DS / ML teams: shaping model targets and test sets, debating security-vs-UX trade-offs, and translating model results into product decisions.
- High comfort with ambiguity, sharp prioritisation across competing markets, and excellent written/verbal communication and cross-geography stakeholder management.
- Familiarity with the SEA digital identity and KYC landscape is a strong plus. Passion for digital identity, security, and AI-driven product is a must.
