Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer

Location: Ortigas, Pasig, PH

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM PH Time (Remote | w/ occasional visits in the office)

Position Overview

Senior Cloud Engineer with deep hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments. Play a key role in cloud migration, automation, and optimization efforts, while ensuring best practices in performance, security, and governance across multi-cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture & Engineering
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on Azure and OCI, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Ansible.
• Support hybrid cloud connectivity using VPN, ExpressRoute, and OCI FastConnect.
• Manage virtual networks, load balancers, compute instances, storage solutions, and databases across both cloud environments.
• Contribute to containerization and orchestration efforts (e.g., Kubernetes, AKS, OKE).
• Automation & DevOps
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure high system reliability and visibility.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Security, Compliance & Governance
• Apply cloud security best practices in IAM, RBAC, network security, and data protection.
• Work with InfoSec and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to corporate and regulatory standards (ISO, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).
• Implement resource tagging, cost control measures, and compliance policies across both platforms.
• Operations & Support
• Monitor system performance, availability, and cost utilization across Azure and OCI
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in cloud infrastructure and integrations.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Document designs, processes, and operational procedures for knowledge sharing

Required Qualifications

• Bachelorʼs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering or systems administration.
• Proven expertise with Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Cloud networking (VNet, VCN, routing, firewalls, ExpressRoute, FastConnect)
• Virtual machines, scaling sets, storage, and backup solutions
• IAM and security controls in multi-cloud environments
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) — Terraform preferred.
• Proficiency in cloud-based development languages (e.g., GO, PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as:
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate/Professional
• HashiCorp Terraform Associate
• CKA / CKAD (Kubernetes certifications)
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, OCI Monitoring).
• Understanding of FinOps and cost optimization strategies.
• Exposure to container platforms, microservices, or serverless architecture
