Software Engineer

Job Title: Software Engineer 3 – Agentic AI / Automation

Location: Charlotte, NC (5 days onsite)

Duration: 6+ months (strong extension; long-term growth)

Pay Rate: $53-$58/hr. on W2

Overview

Our end client is building a new Agentic Engineering team focused on delivering enterprise AI and automation solutions. This role supports a high-priority initiative combining RPA, APIs, and Generative AI (LLMs) to scale intelligent automation across consumer lending.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and deploy agentic AI and workflow automation solutions
• Integrate LLMs, APIs, and automation tools (RPA)
• Develop solutions using Python, REST APIs, and containerized environments
• Apply prompt engineering, RAG, and agent-based design patterns
• Partner with product and engineering teams to deliver assigned stories
• Ensure solutions meet security, governance, and enterprise standards

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years software engineering experience
• 2+ years hands-on Generative AI / LLM experience

Strong skills in:

• Python
• REST APIs
• Docker / Kubernetes or OpenShift
• Git-based development
• Experience working in cloud environments (Azure, GCP, etc.)

Top Skills

• Experience with UiPath, Power Platform, or other RPA tools
• Exposure to Long Chain, vector databases, or LLM frameworks
• Understanding of AI vs. automation use cases
• Experience in regulated environments (financial services a plus)
