Qualifications and requirements
General requirements
- At least 5 years of working experience of developing Android Applications
- Experience as tech lead
- Knowledge of building phone and tablet user-interfaces that scale to screen size.
- Knowledge of SOLID Principles and design patterns used in mobile applications
- Experience with all or some of the development process, such as software architecture,
monitoring and observability, automated CI/CD pipelines - Unit Testing/UI Testing
- Great source control (Git) practices with reliable branching and commit strategies.
- Knowhow of the key values and principles of Agile, including purpose of ceremonies and
Agile estimating and planning.
Android Skill Requirements
- Kotlin‑first development with Jetpack Compose
- Responsive UI for phones & tablets
- Experience building mobile backend services / APIs Desirable
- Strong grasp of SOLID principles & mobile design patterns
- Dependency Injection with Hilt / Dagger
- Kotlin Coroutines & Flow (RxJava a bonus)
- AndroidX Architecture Components (ViewModel, Navigation, lifecycle)
- Modular Android apps
- Firebase (analytics, remote config, crash reporting, etc.)
- End‑to‑end delivery experience: architecture, CI/CD, monitoring
- Unit & UI testing (Compose‑friendly)

- Lead a small team of Android Developers
- Mentor less experienced team members
- Balancing delivery with enabling others: leading technical decisions, shaping Android tasks from larger stories and supporting Android colleagues.
- Shapes and shares Android technical decisions.
- Develop software of high quality
- As you will be working for Santiago and be part of an international team we require you to be available at 8:30AM if that is needed
- Work inside Agile teams working collaboratively with other developers
