About the company

Remote World is partnering with a US-based data analytics company to hire for this role. They build business intelligence tools for retail and FMCG clients, ingesting and processing millions of rows of sales data daily. Python is at the heart of their data pipeline and API layer.

The role

You'll build and maintain data pipelines, APIs, and automation scripts that keep the platform running reliably. You'll work alongside data engineers and analysts, writing clean, well-tested Python code that processes large datasets and surfaces insights to clients.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines and ETL workflows in Python
  • Develop and extend REST API endpoints using Django or FastAPI
  • Write scripts for data cleaning, transformation, and reporting automation
  • Debug data quality issues and trace them back to source
  • Write unit tests and contribute to improving code coverage

What you'll need

  • Strong Python skills — you write clean, readable, well-structured code
  • Experience with data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy)
  • Comfortable with SQL and relational databases
  • Detail-oriented — data pipelines require precision

Nice to have

  • Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI
  • Familiarity with cloud data services (AWS S3, BigQuery, Snowflake)
  • Exposure to task queues (Celery) or workflow orchestration (Airflow)

What you'll get

  • $700–$1,200 USD/month based on experience
  • Fully remote with flexible hours
  • Interesting data problems at real scale
  • Paid leave
  • Path to Senior Python Developer or Data Engineer

Apply with your CV and a GitHub link or code sample. Tell us about a data or automation project you built.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. If you meet most but not all of the requirements, please apply anyway.
