Investment Analyst - Tax Equity

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)

Piper Maddox is partnered with a fast-growing specialty finance platform focused on investing in infrastructure assets within the energy transition.

They are looking for a well-established Investment Analyst to join their growing team. The platform is backed by institutional capital and builds scalable investment programs across renewable energy and other real assets. The team operates in a lean entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial screening and commercial evaluation of new investment opportunities
• Gather and organize deal data and prepare preliminary analysis for senior team review
• Build and maintain transaction-level financial models
• Support analysis of sponsor financial models by validating key assumptions
• Assist in identifying and escalating discrepancies or risks in transaction assumptions
• Support full transaction execution by coordinating diligence materials and data room organization
• Assist in drafting investment committee memos, presentations, and supporting materials
• Assist with quarterly reporting and internal investment performance updates
• Participate in internal and external calls with sponsors, developers, intermediaries, and advisors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, math, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in project finance, infrastructure investing, investment banking, consulting, tax equity, or related analytical roles
• Strong financial modeling skills
• Familiarity with structured finance or partnership models
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, lean team environment
• Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of deliverables
