PR Manager, Litigation & Trial
Location: New York, NY or Washington, DC
(4 days in office, after initial onboarding period, 3 days)
Salary: $140,000 – $160,000 (flexible)
A top-tier global law firm is looking to hire a PR Manager to support its Litigation & Trial practice. This is a high-priority hire with strong internal visibility and a fast-moving process.
This role sits within the firm’s Brand & Communications team and is fully focused on external communications and media relations with no internal comms and no people management.
The role
• Partner directly with litigators and senior stakeholders
• Drive litigation-focused media strategy, messaging and thought leadership
• Lead external communications activity including press outreach, media engagement and positioning
• Identify and shape compelling narratives across complex litigation matters
• Work closely with senior PR leadership and wider comms team
What they’re looking for
• Strong litigation PR and media relations experience is essential
• Background in PR agency with law firm or BigLaw clients, or in-house at a law firm, or legal, government or academic communications with litigation exposure
• Ability to operate confidently with partners and senior legal stakeholders
• Ideally 8–10+ years’ experience as feedback indicates current candidates are too junior
• Clear track record in external communications including press, media and reputation management
