Position Overview
Adjunct instructors in Foreign Language will teach primarily elementary and intermediate Spanish to students earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. Courses may be offered face-to-face, online, or at off-campus locations depending on the University's needs. For the 2026-2027 year, there are opportunities to teach online.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses on-campus, off-campus, or online as assigned.
- Work with the department head to ensure consistent and appropriate student learning.
- Utilize the College's learning management system (Canvas) to assess student projects and record grades in a timely manner.
- Regularly check your email account. Respond to emails/messages in a timely manner.
- Complete all required reports, such as early grade alerts, midterm grades, and final grades.
- Master's degree or 18 graduate hours in Spanish or a related field.
- Experience teaching college-level Spanish (preferred).
- Proven record of quality instruction.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) such as Canvas.
- Experience teaching other foreign language or ASL courses.
