Position Summary:
The SAP Technology/Basis Lead is responsible for the overall administration, performance, tuning, and maintenance of SAP systems and environments. This includes managing the SAP landscape (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PO, Fiori, etc.), ensuring system availability, and leading a team of SAP Basis administrators or consultants. The role involves working closely with infrastructure, security, and functional teams to provide a robust and scalable SAP ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the Basis team and serve as the technical expert on all SAP technology-related matters.
• Manage and maintain SAP systems across the landscape, including installations, upgrades, support packages, and system refreshes.
• Monitor system performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with project teams for SAP implementations, migrations (e.g., to S/4HANA), and cloud initiatives.
• Develop and enforce SAP technical standards, governance, and best practices.
• Oversee system backups, disaster recovery planning, and high-availability configurations.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and manage system users, roles, and authorisations in collaboration with the security team.
• Work with vendors and support partners to resolve complex issues and manage support contracts.
• Participate in audits and ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX).
• Plan and execute technical cutovers for SAP projects and support system go-lives.
• Manage the capacity planning and sizing of SAP systems in collaboration with infrastructure teams.
• Provide 24x7 support for critical incidents and manage the on-call support process.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, SAP Solution Manager, Fiori, and SAP PI/PO.
• Strong knowledge of HANA database administration and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) hosting SAP workloads.
• Proven track record in SAP system upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
• Familiarity with SAP security concepts and GRC integration.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• SAP Certified Technology Associate (SAP Basis, HANA, or S/4HANA Administration).
• Experience with DevOps tools and automation for SAP operations.
• Background in ITIL processes and service delivery management.
• Exposure to SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and Integration Suite.
