Salary: Up to £60,000 + benefits

An established international fintech bank is seeking a Java / Kotlin Software Engineer to join its growing UK technology team. With a strong European presence and over a decade of expansion in the UK, the organisation has built a reputation for delivering innovative digital banking solutions and maintaining a strong engineering-led culture.

The Role

This position sits within the Retail Banking division, which is undergoing a significant digital transformation programme. The team is focused on modernising systems and developing AI-driven solutions within a regulated environment.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative and high-performing engineering team, contributing to the design and development of scalable, cloud-native applications while supporting continued innovation across the platform.

Tech Stack

• Kotlin / JVM
• Spring Boot
• React / TypeScript
• AWS
• Docker and Kubernetes

Requirements

• Commercial experience with Java, Kotlin, JVM, or Spring Boot
• Exposure to JavaScript or TypeScript
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally AWS
• Experience with or interest in containerisation technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
• An interest in AI and emerging technologies
