Payroll Manager - $140K + Bonus

An engineering company is growing their accounting team and hiring a Payroll Manager. This position reports into the Controller and responsible for the day to day accounting operations (reconciliations, month end close, journal entries). Apply today!

ROLE IS ONSITE DAYS/WEEK

Responsibilities:

• Manager the processing of bi-weekly union and non-union salaried and hourly employees.
• Review timekeeping records, resolve discrepancies, and ensure payroll accuracy.
• Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manage benefit deductions, retirement contributions, and year-end W-2/1099 processing.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and partner with HR on compensation and benefits updates.
• Prepare payroll reports, support audits, and assist with payroll system enhancements and special projects.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
• 2+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state and/or union payroll preferred.
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paycom, Vista, or similar platforms.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas.
• Highly organized with strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
