Fullstack Engineer

Backlight is a global media technology company dedicated to improving the entire video content lifecycle, from creation to monetization. Our suite of SaaS solutions empowers creative teams at every stage of production.

As a Fullstack Engineer, you'll be instrumental in evolving Backlights core product by building and maintaining its backend and frontend services. You will architect scalable solutions, integrate AI capabilities, and own features from concept to deployment, directly impacting our users experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Python.
• Build and optimize frontend components with ReactJS and TypeScript.
• Develop and maintain APIs powering internal applications and external integrations.
• Write clean, maintainable code and actively participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring high system performance and availability.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure seamless integration of user-facing elements with server-side logic.

We're looking for engineers who can hit the ground running and contribute meaningfully from day one.

• Proficiency in ReactJS and TypeScript for frontend development.
• Experience with Python for backend development.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub for version control.
• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• More than 2 years of relevant software development experience or equivalent educational background.

• Experience with Flask or FastAPI, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
