High School Teacher FT - CTE / Construction Trades (2026-2027)

Required: General Contractor's License

• Plumbing or Electrical experience preferred
• Bachelors degree preferred
• Will need to complete steps for a temporary or associate Utah Educator License once hired.
• Responsibilities include instruction in areas of construction to ensure that students gain appropriate knowledge and skills about the industry and are prepared for a career and postsecondary opportunities.
• Educate students on industry safety standards and practices, and coordinate and help assist with job site internship placements.
• Oversee project based assessments.

UTAH STATE RETIREMENT

Benefit eligible employees are automatically members of the Utah Retirement Systems (URS). This means that the District contributes into the URS plan on your behalf each month. After the URS vesting period of four years, you will have either the Hybrid option, which is a combination of a pension with a 401k plan, or the 401k option if you choose. Both plans are employer-paid. You can also choose to enhance your retirement with URS by contributing additional money from your paychecks into a 401k, 457, Traditional IRA, or Roth IRA.
