Architectural Drafter

Teakwood Builders is seeking a skilled Architectural Drafter to support the development of clear, accurate construction drawings for residential remodeling and custom home projects.

We are an award-winning residential design-build firm founded in 1996, known for thoughtful planning, detailed documentation, and high-quality craftsmanship. Our team collaborates closely across design and construction to bring projects from concept through construction.

This position is primarily remote, though occasional coordination meetings or jobsite visits in the Saratoga Springs area may be required.

Special requirement: Applicants must reside in New York State to support occasional in-person coordination meetings at our Saratoga Springs office or site visits within a one-hour radius, as often as once per week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain construction drawing sets using CAD or Revit
• Produce floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
• Update drawings during design development and permitting
• Coordinate drawings with designers, planners, and construction staff
• Support estimating and construction coordination as projects progress

Qualifications

• Experience producing residential construction drawings
• Proficiency in CAD or Revit
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to interpret design intent and translate it into clear, buildable documentation
• Experience with residential remodeling or custom homes preferred

Position Details

• Location: Primarily remote (Greater Saratoga Springs coordination as needed)
• Compensation: $28–$32 per hour (based on experience)
