Telecon’s IT department is undergoing a transformation, making this an exciting time to join the team. The Director, IT Operations & Service Delivery, reporting to the Vice President – Shared Services, will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s enterprise technology strategy, modern IT operating model, and digital platform roadmap. This is an opportunity for a strategic leader who also thrives in execution—someone who can set direction, lead change, and stay close to day-to-day operations to ensure reliable, secure, and business-focused service delivery.
This full-time hybrid position offers a flexible group insurance plan, company-matching RRSP from day one, and opportunities for growth and development.
The expected annual salary for this position is in the range of $155,000 - $170,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
ROLE SCOPE:
This role oversees multiple IT functions and leaders across operations, service delivery, and enterprise platforms. The position will support 4 or more direct reports and other sub-functions under the Director’s leadership.

FIRST 3 KEY DELIVERABLES:
- Assess and prioritize the IT landscape: Establish a clear view of current systems, risks, service performance, and business needs, then recommend near- and medium-term priorities.
- Stabilize and strengthen service delivery: Improve visibility into service levels, clarify accountability across teams and partners, and identify quick wins to increase reliability and responsiveness.
- Build a practical modernization roadmap: Define the first phase of transformation across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and governance, with clear business outcomes and execution milestones.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and execute the IT operations and service delivery strategy in alignment with business priorities, risk posture, and the broader transformation roadmap.
- Lead day-to-day delivery across infrastructure, cloud platforms, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, integrations, and end-user support to ensure stable, secure, and scalable services.
- Own service performance by establishing and tracking KPIs, SLAs, and operating metrics, and by driving continuous improvement across the IT service lifecycle.
- Prioritize and deliver major IT initiatives, platform upgrades, and modernization efforts with clear accountability for outcomes, timelines, budgets, and business value.
- Partner with business leaders and governance forums to align demand, resolve priorities, and ensure technology investments support operational and strategic objectives.
- Oversee vendor relationships, licensing, sourcing, and budget management to maximize value, resilience, and cost transparency.
- Strengthen IT operating practices, including incident, change, security, and support processes, to improve reliability, responsiveness, and control.
- Build and lead a high-performing team by setting clear expectations, developing leaders, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.
- Additional duties as assigned in order to meet Company objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise IT operations, service delivery, and technology transformation within a complex environment.
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
- Strong command of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, integrations, and modern IT operating practices.
- Demonstrated ability to define strategy, lead modernization initiatives, and translate business needs into practical technology priorities and roadmaps.
- Experience leading service performance, governance, budgets, and vendor relationships, with accountability for operational results and business value.
- Knowledge of AI and automation adoption in the enterprise, including privacy, security, risk management, and responsible governance.
- Strong executive presence, communication, and people leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, develop leaders, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
